Food prices are expected to go up in 2018 with a new report saying the annual food bill for the average Canadian family will go up by about $350; so a total spend of about $12,000 for the year. Over half of that will come from eating out. In Atlantic Canada, expect to see above average increases on our food.

Halifax council has voted in favour of a property tax hike which now means the average homeowner will be paying about $35 more; already they’re paying over $1,800 a year in property taxes. The 1.9 % increase comes from a decline in revenue and increased salary to police and firefighters. So I will just sit here and wait for my increased salary…

This actually breaks royal protocol – typically royal partners must wait until they are married to be invited to the Christmas celebration.
Uncle Jesse will soon be a proud papa: John Stamos and fiancée, Caitlin McHugh, are currently expecting their first child.
