On Sunday, November 4, 2018, The Arthritis Society presents the 6th annual Virtual Everest, the ultimate test of climbing endurance in Halifax!
Participants climb Citadel Hill National Historic Site a total of 80 times, up steep terrain that simulates the elevation from sea level to the summit of Mount Everest.
Our efforts support The Arthritis Society’s vital programs, services, advocacy and research for the 212,000 Nova Scotians living with arthritis. It’s a big challenge, an important cause and a whole lot of fun!
Since its inception in 2013, Virtual Everest has raised more than $77,000 for The Arthritis Society, and has quickly grown into a fall highlight for many groups, corporations and fitness enthusiasts - becoming one of The Arthritis Society's most publicized events in Canada!
Exercise feeds your joints, which can decrease arthritis pain, increase flexibility, and do wonders for your state of mind. The mission of Virtual Everest is to combine a thrilling challenge with a team-building fundraiser that benefits overall health and fitness.
