We’ve made it to the end of the Valentine’s Day sandwich! On Tuesday we celebrated Galentine’s Day – a day coined by American sitcom Parks and Recreation where women celebrate women. Wednesday saw Valentine’s Day, the day where single people avoided social media for 24 hours while their loved-up friends posted photos of their ‘too cute’ cards they’d received from their significant others.
Now today, February 15, is time for single people to shine. It’s officially Singles Awareness Day, also known as Singles Appreciation Day!
To celebrate Singles Awareness Day give a gift to yourself, treat yourself, travel, gather with friends and volunteer!
Here are (scientifically proven!) benefits of being single:
- You have more friends that are also more supportive.
- You exercise more and stay in better shape.
- Single people have more alone time which can make them more productive!
