Ever wonder if you are actually a good friend? Well according to a new Buzzfeed poll, we’re all pretty bad at being friends with other humans. So ask yourself: “Am I a good friend or a bad friend?” when you answer yes or no to any of these questions and see if you are as bad as everyone else:
- 70 percent say you’re a bad friend if you don’t remember your friend’s birthday, 30 percent say you aren’t
- 70 percent say you’re not a bad friend if you don’t buy your friend a birthday present, 30 percent say you are
- 87 percent say you’re not a bad friend if you cancel on a friend because you’re tired from a hard week, 13 percent say you are
- 77 percent say you’re a bad friend if you cancel on a friend to see someone you’re dating instead, 23 percent say you’re not
- 90 percent say you’re not a bad friend for giving honest advice, even if it’s hurtful, 10 percent say you are
- 89 percent say you’re not a bad friend if you see a message from a friend and don’t text back right away, 11 percent say you are
- 55 percent say you’re not a bad friend for not letting your friend borrow something (non-valuable) of yours, 45 percent say you are
- 54 percent say you are a bad friend for saying “I told you so” when your friend encounters a serious problem you had warned them about, 46 percent say you aren’t
- 72 percent say you are a bad friend if you never initiate plans with your friend, 28 percent say you aren’t
- 53 percent say you are a bad friend if you don’t help your friend move house, 47 percent say you aren’t
