Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again isn’t just the name of the upcoming sequel to the 2008 hit Mamma Mia; it’s also what onetime Silkwood co-stars Meryl Streep and Cher are saying now that they’re reuniting in the musical’s sequel! That’s right! CHER is going to be in the Mamma Mia sequel!

Varietyconfirmed this week that the 71-year-old Cher will join Streep and fellow returning Mamma Mia cast members Colin Firth, Christine Baranski and Amanda Seyfried in the flick. Cher’s character in the new movie is being kept under wraps.
Over the weekend, Cher had teased the casting announcement by tweeting, “Just went through two dance numbers, everyone’s great,” as well as the ABBA song title “Fernando.” This will be Cher’s first movie since 2010’s Burlesque. Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again started shooting last month in the UK and Croatia and is expected to be released July 2018.
