Justin Bieber is apologizing to his fans after canceling the remainder of his Purpose World Tour on Monday. “I love you guys. You guys are awesome,” Bieber told paparazzi on camera shortly after the announcement. “I’m sorry for anybody who feels, like, disappointed or betrayed…and have a blessed day.”
The singer’s rep shared the news earlier in the day via the following statement: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber will cancel the remainder of the Purpose World Tour concerts. Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over last 18 months. He is grateful and honored to have shared that experience with his cast and crew for over 150 successful shows across six continents during this run. However, after careful consideration, he has decided he will not be performing any further dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.”
Bieber was scheduled to perform 14 more concerts in North America and Asia through October 12. The 23-year-old pop star’s third world tour began on March 9, 2016, in Seattle and has seen him perform more than 150 shows across Europe, Africa, South America, Australia, and parts of Asia. The Purpose World Tour’s end comes in the wake of China banning Bieber for “bad behavior.”
Do you think Justin just needs a break? Or is there more to the cancellation that they’re not telling us?
