Looks like this is a feud that won’t die anytime soon. Even though we can’t even seem to pin-point how it started in the first place! Katy Perry surprised fans last night by releasing a song called “Swish Swish” featuring Nicki Minaj – and it’s pretty obvious that the single is a response to her nemesis Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood.”
The pop star’s lyrics include, “Your game is tired/ You should retire/ You’re about cute as an old coupon expired,” and, “Don’t you come for me/ No, not today/ You’re calculated/ I’ve got your number/ Because you’re a joke/ And I’m a courtside killer queen.”
Meanwhile, Minaj’s rap verse contains the lines, “Don’t be tryna double back/ I already despise you/ All that fake love you showin’/ Couldn’t even disguise you.” Fans quickly took to Twitter to applaud Perry for clapping back at Swift and #SwishSwish began trending. Meanwhile, model Ruby Rose defended her BFF Taylor by calling out Perry on Twitter. “I just think with everything going on in the world, to go from rebranding as political activist only to ditch it and go low is a bummer,” she wrote. She also described Perry’s music as “purposeful poop”–a play on Perry recently describing her sound as “purposeful pop.”
Do you think this “feud” should just end?
