The most popular baby names last year were revealed recently. Emma is the most popular girls’ name for the third year in a row, while Noah is the most popular boys’ name for the fourth year in a row. Meanwhile, there’s only one new name among the boys’ and girls’ top 10 compared to 2015: Elijah, which comes in at #9 among most popular boys’ names of 2016. Pop culture seems to have influenced some names that didn’t make the Top 10 but still made some big leaps. Like Kylo (as in The Force Awakens‘ Kylo Ren) jumped up 2,368 spots compared to 2015 to sit at #901.
